The Buffalo launch for one of the most acclaimed publishing projects in recent memory. Liveright Publishing's The Complete Works of Primo Levi, with a discussion featuring Robert Weil, publisher and editor-in-chief at Liveright, and Ann Goldstein, editor/translator-in-charge of the 15-year project to bring all of the work of the Italian master, best known for his memoirs of his experience in the Holocaust, into English translation.
Buffalo author and public interest attorney Sam Magavern, author of a book about Levi's work, will moderate the discussion. This is a rare opportunity to hear two publishing professionals talk about their work gathering together an impressive team to bring one of the major writers of the twentieth century in a quality edition for English readers.
